Third Black Cow Restaurant Proposed
to Open on the Beverly Waterfront

(Beverly, Mass. May 2006) – The Black Cow restaurant has submitted a proposal for a 40-year lease on the site of the former McDonald's restaurant next to the Beverly-Salem bridge. Earlier this spring, the city requested proposals to redevelop the city-owned former restaurant and nearby marina.

According to the proposal, Black Cow owner, Joseph Leone, would build a new restaurant on the site of the former McDonald's and also manage the marina. The $2.5 million proposal calls for demolishing the structure, building the new 160-seat restaurant, and using the first floor of the building for either kayak and sailboat rentals or whale-watch tours.
